  • All good things...

As most of you in the community are already aware, H.I has now closed and most of its former members have moved onto other clans.

Thankfully we have all departed on good terms and strive to continue to be good friends.

We'd like to thank all ex-members for their many contributions over the year(ish) we have been together, and an extra special mention should be made for not available Wilbur for his leadership of the clan through the good and bad times and the generosity he has so graciously shown in providing a place for likeminded gamers to get together and have fun.

I'd like to extend my best wishes to all the clan in the future.

It's been an interesting ride zwinkern

  • Call of duty 5 multiplayer beta released!
Date: 29.10.2008 - 13:54

The Call of duty 5 multiplayer beta has finally been released, and as we're really nice chaps here at H.I we've even mirrored it for you. You can download it here.

To play you'll need to ensure you have a beta key, you can obtain one if you sign up for an account on Call of duty HQ and select "edit profile".

Initial impressions seem to be good, although I'm puzzled as to why the more annoying perks have been left in (last stand, martydom etc) and vehicles have been included. Hopefully PAM/Promod will strip out the rubbish to make wars more sensible.

  • Asus Rampage II on the way
Date: 21.10.2008 - 15:18

Asus has a new X58 chipset based board on the way, titled the Rampage II.

Some of the interesting new features included on the board are the ability to alter voltages and clock speed on the fly, via buttons on the far side of the motherboard, and the inclusion of easily accessable points for multimeter voltage testing.

Personally I believe this board has the potential to be the chihuahua's cohones for overclocking, however Asus' newer republic of gamers boards have been reputedly overpriced when performance considerations are taken into regard.

  • ATI/AMD release Radeon HD 4550 and 4350 cards
Date: 03.10.2008 - 15:40
Author: digitaldunc

With ATI/AMD already dominating the top end of the graphics market and attempting to cover the mid range sector, ATI has recently release a new range of low TDP budget cards with the Radeon HD 4550 and 4350.

Both GPUs will be available for purchase this month, retailing at $59 US and $39 US respectively.

Personally I hope that this will help AMD regain a foothold in the hardware market after seeing plummeting profits in recent times. Product monopolies traditionally create stagnant market conditions and sub-par products.

Hello all, i would like to say that a lot of unseen work has gone into producing this website and people involved have done this in their own time and at no cost to the clan. Can we also keep the content of the site sensible i know it is difficult for some if not all of you but it just adds to the work load of the people trying to run the site as they have to remove it.
